Are You a Full-Time Student Looking to Earn Extra Money?
It’s all too common these days for students not to have a lot of extra money, but it’s still never easy. In this economic climate, with the cost of education soaring higher each year, extra money can be hard to come by.
Whether you are carrying a full-time schedule at a four-year university or pursuing multiple online college degrees, some extra cash would surely come in handy. If you are down to your last dollar, here are some ideas to help you earn money to makes ends meet.
#1 Try Tutoring

You’re pursuing an education, which means you are hopefully well-versed in one or more subjects and familiar with various study habits and techniques. Create a flyer to display around town and spread the word amongst friends that you are available for tutoring.
Depending on the subject and your level of expertise, you can make solid, dependable income while gaining the valuable perspective of what it’s like to be a teacher.
#2 Sell Some Stuff

We all have something of value that we no longer use or can easily live without. With eBay, Craigslist and other online stores and retailers, it’s easier than ever to turn a profit on quality used goods. Garage sales are also great because you can move multiple items in one fell swoop.
#3 Snag a Paid Internship

One of the most productive ways for a student to earn extra funds is by grabbing a paid internship. It’s a situation in which everyone wins, as you gain valuable experience, college credits and a few bucks, while a business gets inexpensive labor from an engaged and dedicated employee.
#4 Be Handy

From shoveling snow in the winter to mowing grass in the spring, there always seems to be work for those that are eager and dependable. Put out another flyer around campus advertising services for whatever you are good at, be it moving furniture, house painting or even guitar lessons.
There is also a new crop of websites you can sign up for that specialize in connecting errand-runners with people willing to pay for help.
#5 Use What You Have

Your most important assets in this world are your body and mind, so turn these assets into earnings! Depending on what you are comfortable with and/or interested in, you can make extra money doing anything from selling your plasma to working in a hospital to sitting in on a psychological study.
There are few bigger character-builders for a young person than to stare a desperate situation in the eye and say, “I’m going to do what it takes to get through it.”
The Last Word

Even if you are a poor college student, you’ll likely look back on your school years with fondness. By being industrious, creative and dedicated you can earn the extra money you need to thrive and still have the time of your life.
